I have made some progress in dipping the IV Gloves. This one looks really nice. I think if I pull a vacuum on the latex to remove all the bubbles, I’ll be there.

I thought I’d put up some photos of Armstrong’s suit that I took in D.C. since I haven’t had a post in a couple of days. I am making good progress on my suit, but its mostly things I have covered here. Turning Gas connectors for example. When they are finished, I’ll put some pictures up.
I’ll try to put up some more pictures this weekend. Seeing the actual suit that went to the moon, the first human garment to touch the lunar soil. It was a very moving experience for me. Now my son would have looked at it and said “Huh, cool” and moved on.

I just got off the phone with my bubble helmet supplier, It seems he is not as ready as he thought. He has a few things to finish up on the mold, and has a big customer order he is working on. So being the little guy, my stuff has to wait.
He said it wont be next week, but perhaps the week after. So I am thinking three weeks at least. So I will move on to other things.
These guys are the best there is, so you can understand why they are busy. I know they will get it done, and when its done, it will be perfect.
I built a better “Dipping” chamber for the IV gloves so I will give that a try perhaps today.

My humble attempt at making a feed port cover. The rest of the feed port is still to come. It should help “dress up” my first bubble helmet. (When I get it…) I believe I will have a fortune in anodizing when this is all over.

There was a delay on the bubble helmets, It seems the tooling was finished late. I have high hopes to hear something next week. I am however, not holding my breath.
