Connecting with your connectors…

start of glove The photo above is the beginning of the first suit-side glove disconnect. Well, not really the beginning. You see It started with a search lasting six months or so for a piece of aluminum tube of the right size to turn these. The inside diameter of the suit-side disconnect is a fraction less than four (4) inches. And the outside is around 5 1/4 inches.conector2 So I settled on a piece of aluminum tube six inches O.D. with a one inch wall thickness. I am lucky enough to have a metal reseller just 14 miles away, so I put them on the hunt. Just before Christmas I got a call saying they could get me a piece. So I ordered it.shiney! The pictures show the state of the connector after 20 or so hours of turning.

Are you going to try for a functional wrist connect at this point, or cosmetic?

Everything looks great, by the way!
